I was searching for various restaurants and found this place near our Airbnb. We were able to come in at 9:30 AM on a Tuesday and then come back within 30 minutes to get a table for 5. I would recommend you come here early in case you may need to wait.
Stumbled upon this place for breakfast after finishing the Inari gates walk. Beautifully presented food and all of it was absolutely delicious, would 100% come back anytime. Highly recommended if you want to try an authentic Kyoto breakfast
Probably the best breakfast I've ever had! It was all so fresh, the sashimi was amazing and my mackerel was cooked perfectly with perfect crispy skin. My girlfriend had the founder which I'll get next time. We're gonna have breakfast here as often as possible while in Kyoto.
Had our brunch here and the food was very interesting. Had so much to eat we were so full. Nice quaint little shop. Best if can make reservations case it’s small.
A very filling, unique, and delectable breakfast option to have.
They have some options for vegetarian. You can ask not to put fish and add egg to your meal. It’s not cheap compared to usual Japan prices but worth it! Food is great and the place is cute! If you are a big group might be hard to find space as it’s tiny. So either come early morning or be prepared to wait. Great for 1-2 people. Most probably not suitable for vegans.
Legit Kyoto experience. Easily got a table for 3 of us. I got the biggest omakase platter, with 7 sides and 2 sashimi. Everything was fantastic. We had their soy sauce flounder which was the best thing, imo. Really good breakfast and it kept me satiated throughout my foray towards Nijo castle afterwards.
Food was amazing! Everything was delicious, plated beautifully, price very reasonable. Great option for a Japanese breakfast which seems hard to find these days! Both kids loved the food. 5 of us dining- not even a grain of rice was left 🤣
A quiet place for a nice meal. This seemed like a modern take on the bento boxes with many small dishes. All the flavours were delicate (except for the cherry tomatoes with greens…the ponzu sauce was quite strong) but pleasing…it made us feel like we were having a refined meal.
Superb obanzai for breakfast, chanced upon this when I was looking for a place near where we stayed.
